Grey Water Transport Unit
The idea of the unit is to catch the grey water from the washbasin and reuse it for the flushing of the toilet system to save water. As grey water is not clean but contains particles, soap and all kind of other debris the water needs to be filtered before it can be used in the flushing system of the toilet. The bottom area is reserved for sludge. In the case of the risk of contaminated water from the washbasin, there may be installed an optional UV light or chemical dosing pump to disinfect the water. The unit works as a stand-alone unit, but can via CAN communicate with other devices on board.

Test Bench
Glova Rail can provide a modern test bench. The height of the table can be adjusted electrically, and the rig offers a system, which has the ability to hook up all compact toilet systems. Glova Rail has equipped the bench with the LabControl, computer, screen, cables, etc., as one integrated workstation that is prepared to test any type of toilet unit.

WC Indicator
When the toilet is in use, an indicator can be switched on, as a signal to the other passengers, that the washroom is occupied. In the occurrence of the toilet suffering any number of problems, such as lack of water, full retention tank, or another technical reason, then a signal can be switched on as an indicator of the system being out of order. The indicator is based on a LCD display and any symbol can be uploaded and shown.

Shrouds
A good and flexible interface point for Glova vacuum toilets is our GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) Shroud. Our shrouds are fire retardant. The toilet unit is lowered into the shroud and then fastened with 2 screws located in the top plate of the unit. Shrouds are available in any colour that can be manufactured in GRP, and we have several designs as shown below.

Descaling
During transport, the flush water of the toilet unit will get mixed with urine and waste. Once this has happened, different kinds of bacteria begin to produce ammonia products pushing the pH value into the alkaline area and creating a great environment for deposits to settle on all surfaces. Over time, the deposits not only block the pipes but also create a harsh environment for the interface valves to work in. Glova Rail has developed a descaling rig that can be used to descale older systems and a dosing system that will prevent scale by injecting a fluid together with the flush water.

Air Supply Units
European trains have typically an auxiliary air supply line onboard to power the outer doors, partition doors, sanitary systems etc. In other regions, however, the auxiliary airline is missing, and one solution to overcome this situation is to use an individual air supply unit capable of powering one toilet unit. The unit has a 2 cylinder mini compressor with a temperature sensor and an emergency shut down sensor combined with a 5L air.
